National Public Lands Day Beach Cleanup

Enjoy Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on thie "fee-free" day by participating in a beach cleanup from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.  This event is open to the public, but Girl Scouts will get to work together in their own cleanup crew!

Location: Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Cost: Free with the purchase of a $10 week-long park pass or $20 annual park pass.

National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands we all enjoy. Join us by learning about invasive plants found in the State of Michigan and what we can do to help prevent, detect and respond to the impact these species have on the camp properties.

Troops, families and adults are needed to help prepare Camp Saki for its winter sleep. We will supply the meals and snacks - you supply the "elbow grease." Help us with many of the details needed to prepare camp for the winter months.

CARE Ballet - Hansel & Gretel

Creative Arts Repertoire Ensemble (C.A.R.E Ballet) is a nonprofit organization that presents condensed versions of classic ballets and original ballets based on children's literature. Each program lasts approximately one hour, making the performance perfect for a family outing or troop activity.

Back by popular demand and for those who missed it last spring - we bring you Space Day II! This event is full of hands-on aerodynamic activities including, testing rocket launchers, volcanoes, robotic arms and more. Don't miss the fun this time around! Come dressed for the weather and a day full of space exploration. Cost includes Saturday breakfast, lunch, two snacks and program supplies.
