For the past 30 years, young women have served on Mackinac Island as guides at Fort Mackinac, performed service projects in Mackinac Island State Park, and acted as the Michigan Governor's Honor Guard-all part of the Mackinac Island Honor Scout Program.

If you are a Girl Scout between the 7 th and 12 th grade, you are eligible to apply. Be prepared to spend one entire week on beautiful Mackinac Island. When you are not on duty, you will have time to bike around the Island, visit the tourist shops, swim, and eat fudge-in other words-be a tourist.

Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree and several other councils work together with Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails (Grand Rapids) to train girls to serve as Mackinac Island Honor Scouts. You will be expected to attend five trainings in Grand Rapids with other girls from our Council. You will be outfitted in a uniform designed specifically for Honor Scouts. You will be assigned an adult advisor from Crooked Tree who travels with you to the Island.

To become a part of this select group of girls, please complete and submit Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree's Mackinac Island Honor Scout Application. Applications must be received at Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree's Service Center in Traverse City before October 30th .
