The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout 14 - 17 may earn. It is the pinnacle of community service and is "what you really want to be remembered for" in Girl Scouting. To begin working on your project you must be a registered Girl Scout age 14 - 17 or in grades 10 - 12. There are 7 STEPS involved in earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. "Going for the gold" requires careful planning. Before you start on your Gold Award Project, you must earn the Girl Scout Gold Leadership Award Charm, the Girl Scout Gold Career Award Charm, and the Girl Scout Gold 4Bs Challenge Award Charm.
You also need to complete a Girl Scout Gold Award Project Application and receive approval from Crooked Tree's Gold Award Committee prior to working on your project. These applications are reviewed four times each year-September 16, November 16, February 16, and April 16.
