Day Camps
Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree offers several day camps throughout its 11-county jurisdiction-the goal being to offer a "camp" experience to as many girls as possible. Several of these day camps are offered at Council properties-Camp Little Deer in Manistee, Camp Sakakawea in Traverse City, and Camp Charlevoix in Charlevoix. In other areas, Girl Scout day camps are set up at church camps, schools, community parks, etc.
Regardless of the location, all day camps offer many girls their first outdoor experiences. Activities may include fire safety, outdoor cooking, games, songs, hiking, crafts, swimming, and working together as a unit.
Day camp flyers are sent directly to each registered girl according to the county in which she resides. Any girl may register to attend any day camp. Non-Girl Scouts are always welcome to join the fun.
